About The Coin USA

Real value guides for real collectors — no hype, no clickbait.

Our Story

The Coin USA started with a simple frustration: social media is full of videos claiming "this 50p is worth £2,500!" — but almost none of them tell you why, show you the mintage figures, or explain what your coin is actually worth in its condition.

We run coin-collecting communities where thousands of collectors share their finds every day. The same questions come up again and again: Is my Kew Gardens 50p real? What's a doubled die? Which £2 coins should I keep? This site is our answer — a permanent, searchable library of the guides our community asks for most.

What We Publish

Our Approach to Values

Coin values move with the market. A coin that sold for £20 last year might sell for £12 today. That's why every value table on this site is labelled as an estimate, and why we always show you how to check recent sold prices on eBay yourself. We would rather give you the tools to verify a value than a single number you can't trust.

Please also read our Disclaimer: nothing on this site is financial or investment advice.

How the Site Is Funded

The Coin USA is free to read and always will be. To cover hosting and research time, we earn commissions when readers buy supplies through our affiliate links or check prices via our eBay links — at no extra cost to you. Full details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.
